Mindful Movement

Give your body a treat by joining a MINDFUL MOVEMENT class

Mindful Movement classes, facilitated by Ingrid Musson, are a mix of movement exploration, strengthening and stretching.

If we don't know how we move in our daily lives, we have no way of changing inefficient movement patterns. In the classes participants will be exploring motions, often related to functional activities. New options will be learned through guided movement sequences, inviting the person to find out what works best for them. Ways to strengthen and lengthen muscles will be part of the class to help improve functional abilities.

Wednesdays 5:15-6:15 p.m.

** Please note: if you plan to attend class on April 3rd, please bring an old bath towel with you.

also, Renee Klein has kindly agreed to teach on April 17th and April 24th, as I will be with my mother then.

Theme for April Classes will be: Mid Back / Neck Connections

The under worked mid back needs more attention. It is often responsible for poor posture, slumping and may lose its ability to extend.

The neck then has to compensate and frequently objects by creating pain.

The first 2 weeks of April classes  will focus on the above. We will continue to explore recognizing little warning signs that your spine may not be happy.

Jaw Relaxation

Tighten your jaw. Feel the tension in your eyes and head. Now gently move your jaw right and your tongue left, then switch. Repeat several times, then notice if that helps you relax.

Drop-in or use your class card.
